Introduction to Silvaboreal's WMS and WFS Services
Welcome to Silvaboreal's Web Map Service (WMS) and Web Feature Service (WFS)! These services are provided free of charge and can be easily integrated into your GIS software.
What is WMS?
Our WMS allows you to access and display geographic data as map layers within your GIS application. This service is ideal for visualizing forest field experiments and other related data directly on your maps.
What is WFS?
Our WFS enables you to retrieve and interact with geographic data in vector format. This service is perfect for analyzing and manipulating data related to forest field experiments.
How to Use Our Services
To get started, simply add the following URLs to your GIS software:
- WMS Service URL: https://wms.slu.se/silvaboreal/esf/wms?
- WFS Service URL: https://wms.slu.se/silvaboreal/esf/wfs?
Detailed instructions on how to add these services can usually be found in your GIS software's documentation. Note that ArcGIS, by default, imposes a limit on the number of features retrieved when using a WFS, which may result in not all projects being displayed unless the limit is manually increased or removed.
Benefits
- Free Access: Use our WMS and WFS services without any charges.
